Cheops - pyramid chess you can play in your browser

Science fiction can predict the future - but someone has to build it. This is my contribution to the Dune timeline.

Because in Dune, thousands of years from now, the people of the Known Universe don't play chess - they play Cheops instead. But what is Cheops? All we know about the game comes from a single entry in the appendix:

“Cheops: pyramid chess; nine-level chess with the double object of putting your queen at the apex and the opponent’s king in check.”

Taking that as the foundation, I added the board, the pieces, the rules, and a few easter eggs.

The game and this site were a labour of love - I hope you enjoy it.
